It is a great pleasure to know about an heir of the Mahakavi Subramanya Bharati to whom we owe a lot and whose poems have given us new ideas, enormous energy, colossal pleasure, and wide knowledge.

Mahakaviyar Subramanya Bharatiyar is a big asset for Tamil poetry .I admit it that -after discovering much about him I started following his pathway in my life .He gave too much of opinions in various aspects .Salutes to him 🙂 .Recently ,I’m doing a research about his poems .May I know ,where can I get his books with English subtitles ? Thank you 🙂

Comment from Rajkumar Bharati (Great Grandson of Bharati) on “Immortality”:

“I went through your article on Bharathi’s stand on Immortality. Very nicely written. We come across numerous times in Bharathi’s poems – words proclaiming immortality. Sure he was firm in his conviction. In Vinagar Nanmani Malai, Saktikkuthu, Pudiya Athichudi
and so on. . . . People of his pedigree are of course ‘avatars’ and so his consciousness level would be universal unlike majority of people like us.
Well reality is still very upfront and unyielding. …
Probably it was in the plan of creation that he leaves his mortal body at a prescribed time.
Further, I doubt what impact he would have had if he was alive now or had a pretty long life. People like Adi Sankara, Swami Vivekananda, Mozart, Ramanujan lived only upto 40 years. Probably it had a purpose?

Happy to see how the future generations has taken his (Bharati’s) work forward. Great to read about his wife’s life and her contributions towards the upliftment of the family. Keep up the good work!!
